Before use, this meter must be calibrated with the supplied liquid and with tap water. After this, the cap of the meter must be filled at all times with a layer of water to keep the electrodes in the meter moist. If this is not done, it can affect the operation of the meter. It is recommended to calibrate the meter weekly and refresh the cap with clean tap water.
